Surface Preparation
All surfaces to be coated must be clean, dry, and free of contaminants. Before coating, all surfaces should be assessed and treated according to ISO 8504:2000 standards.
The surface should be sandblasted to Sa2½ grade with a surface roughness of Rz40~75µm. Prior to rust removal, any oil, welding spatter, and rough edges should be cleaned and weld seams should be ground. For areas with mechanical damage or localized rusting, the surface should be locally sandblasted to Sa2½ grade or power-tool rust removed to St3 grade before applying the primer.
If the old coating surface shows chalking or zinc salts, these should be removed, and the surface cleaned before applying an intermediate or topcoat.Precautions
- Ensure proper ventilation and exhaust during application. Keep away from open flames and wear protective gear such as masks and gloves. Maintain appropriate ventilation during curing.
- When mixing the paint, first stir the base thoroughly, then add the curing agent in the correct proportion and mix well. Adjust the amount of thinner based on temperature and application requirements. Stir thoroughly and allow it to mature. It is recommended to filter the mixture through a 120-mesh screen and continue stirring during use.
- Over-thinning may reduce sag resistance and slow curing.
- Applying the product too thickly will severely affect drying, curing, re-coating performance, and handling time.
- After long-term exposure, ensure the surface of the old coating is free of contaminants before re-coating. Sand the surface and then apply the subsequent layers.
- When using brushing or rolling methods, high film thickness and uniform coating cannot be achieved in a single pass, so multiple coats are required.
- For bright, non-chromic red or yellow pigments, multiple coats may be needed when applied over dark primers to achieve good coverage. It is recommended to use light-colored primers or intermediate coatings with these colors.
- The substrate temperature must be above 5°C and at least 3°C above the dew point. Relative humidity must not exceed 85%.
- Cutting or welding structures coated with this product generates fumes, so appropriate protection measures should be in place.
- This product is not suitable for underwater applications.
- During application, avoid dry spraying or applying too thick a layer. Applying over a dry-sprayed layer may cause pinholes, and over-thick coatings will extend curing, handling, and re-coating time. The coating thickness should match the surface roughness. Rough surfaces should not be coated with a thin layer, and excessive thickness should be avoided.
- The product contains special fillers that improve intercoat adhesion. As a result, thinner films may appear rough, but this does not affect its corrosion protection properties.
- During breaks in work, do not leave the paint in spray lines, guns, or equipment. Thoroughly clean all equipment using thinner. If the work break is too long, it is recommended to mix a fresh batch of paint for continued application.
- Clean all equipment immediately after use with thinner. Regularly cleaning spray equipment is a good practice. The frequency of cleaning depends on the spraying volume, temperature, spraying time, and any interruptions.
- Leftover paint and empty containers should be disposed of according to local regulations.

*Other packaging specifications may be used in specific cases.Storage and Safety Precautions
Store in a sealed, ventilated, cool, dry place, away from flames. Minimum shelf life: 12 months.
- Paint and recommended thinners must be handled according to safety data sheets. This is a solvent-based coating, so avoid inhaling paint mist and solvents. Minimize skin and eye exposure, and avoid contact with wet paint.
- All work involving the application and use of this product must comply with national health, safety, and environmental standards and regulations.
- If welding or flame cutting is required on metal surfaces coated with this product, dust and fumes will be generated. Appropriate personal protective equipment and local ventilation measures are required.
- If there are any doubts about the suitability of this product, please consult the company.
