Industrial supplier qualification is not a hunt for the largest collection of badges. It is a controlled answer to six questions: who is responsible, where the work is performed, whether the proposed capability fits the requirement, what evidence applies to the exact scope, how delivery will be controlled and what happens after acceptance.
1. Confirm the legal and operating identity
Separate the contracting entity, brand, factory, export entity and any related group company. Confirm the legal name in both Chinese and English, the registered identity, the manufacturing location and the party that will appear on the contract, invoice, certificate and warranty. Similar names and group structures are common; ambiguity here travels into every later document.
2. Verify who performs the critical work
Determine which processes are completed in-house, which are subcontracted and which determine quality or lead time. A capable supplier may use qualified subcontractors, but the boundary must be visible. Ask who owns the process specification, inspection plan, non-conformance decision and corrective action.
3. Qualify against your requirement
Factory scale is not the same as technical fit. Review the specific material, tolerance, throughput, operating environment, software interface, cleanliness level or process window involved in your project. A previous project is relevant only when the operating conditions and acceptance criteria are comparable.
4. Read certificates by scope
Check the issuing body, holder, site, product or management-system scope, standard edition, expiry date and any model limitations. A certificate held by a related company or covering a different product family should not silently migrate into the proposed supply. Request the underlying test or technical file when the requirement depends on a measured performance claim.
5. Test repeatability, not only the sample
A good sample proves that one unit can be made. Qualification asks whether the result can be repeated at the planned volume. Review incoming material control, work instructions, calibrated inspection, traceability, change control, packaging and the response to non-conformance. For equipment, add factory acceptance testing and the conditions for site acceptance.
6. Define the delivery and service boundary
Clarify engineering responsibility, documentation, packing, export basis, installation, commissioning, training, spares, warranty response and local support. For integrated systems, identify one owner for every interface between units. Many expensive failures begin in the space between two technically competent suppliers.
Use relationship verification where it matters
When an approach names SINOVALINK or one of its represented industrial partners, the relationship should be checked independently. The verification route is designed to confirm the public scope of a company, representative, email or campaign domain without exposing confidential agreements or project information.
